Sunset Ranch is an exclusive thirty acre estate on the North Shore of Oahu, with ocean and mountain views of the entire northwest side of the island. Now forever protected, Sunset Ranch has a focused mission of helping advance land conservation and sustainability in Hawaii.
Sunset Ranch is currently available for site tours and events. We’re especially excited to now offer authentic Hawaiian Site Tour Experiences. These tours provide a unique opportunity to visit one of the most exclusive estates on Oahu and learn about the history of the ranch, land conservation, sustainability and Hawaiian history and culture; all while enjoying ocean and mountain views and an elegant meal on site or at one of several exclusive lookouts in Waimea Valley.
Our hope is that by sharing the property in these ways, the local community and visitors will not only learn about the importance of land conservation and sustainability, but become engaged and active in the cause.

“When we say farm to table, we’re going to really do farm to table — that’s one thing that we stay very, very true to! We’re going to try and keep everything based in Maui or Hawaii — we’re not going to get anything from the Mainland. I find some people aren’t 100 percent true to what they’re doing, but Oceanside will be — we’re working with farmers, coffee guys and beer producers, so we’re going to try and keep things in focus as much as possible.” ~Chef Gary King~

The best food is what’s grown local to you! Come celebrate fresh, locally grown food and community at our NEW Upcountry Farmer’s Market located at the Kulamalu Town Center Hwy. 37 near Long’s Drugs, Pukalani/Kula. We are behind the football field on Saturdays, 7am – 12pm.
The Upcountry Farmers Market has been operating on Maui first at St. Joseph’s Church over 30yrs ago. The Upcountry Farmers Market moved after a few years to the Eddie Tam Gymnasium in Makawao town and existed there for approximately the last 30yrs. Value added food products were a vital part of the market. Unfortunately there was an incident of food poisoning and the market was shut down. It re-opened with restrictions, rules and regulations. The market vendors dwindled to only a few maybe 3 regulars and 2 or 3 occasional and with even fewer customers. This was about 7 years ago when the acting manager was leaving and told me that I was the new manager by default. I did not know what responsibilities came with that but soon found out.
In order for the market to continue I had to comply with many requests by the County of Maui in order to keep it running. The County of Maui has graciously allowed and supported the market through our ever expanding evolution over the years and assisted all of us with a mutually beneficial solution to our outgrowing the market location with a whopping 60 vendors. Yes we will be allowed value added goods again. The value added goods will have to come from the farmer and use the produce from ones farm on Maui. As of the 26th of June 2010 we have been freely given 100 spaces in Kulamalu Town Center by Everette Dowling, and the Dowling Company. There has been a tremendous amount of work that has gone into this and many thanks are due to so many.
We wish to thank Mayor Tavares, The County of Maui Parks and Recreation Dept., Everette Dowling and staff, Council woman Gladys Baisa, Clark Hashimoto, Rep. Kyle Yamshita, The County Planning Dept., Island Signs and countless others who have donated their time to make this a great community event.
Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Come early for the best picking!
