BASIC HAND GUN TRAINING

Pacific Firearms Club is a non-profit organization providing basic hand gun training courses. The objectives of the course are to promote firearms safety through the proper knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the responsible use of firearms. Instruction includes safe gun handling, shooting fundamentals, and Hawaii firearms laws. Instructors are NRA certified volunteers

WHAT TO EXPECT:
The class is approximately 8 hours and is held indoors and shooting activities are conducted outdoors at the Ukumehame Range. Classes follow the outline of the NRA First Steps Pistol class, with the addition of the Hawaii firearms laws. You will learn about:

The common types of Handguns (revolver, semi-auto, single action, double action), How to load, operate, and unload each type; Ammunition and how it works, how to identify it, what can go wrong; How to store your firearms and ammunition and how to legally and safely transport your firearms and ammunition. You’ll also learn what activities are available to shooters here on Maui! Our volunteer instructors will bring a variety of gun makes, models and calibers for you to try.

FEES:
The fee for the course is $130, which includes all necessary materials, ammunition, firearms, and earplugs. We have limited space and can not guarantee space without payment.
