Slam Band Maui with David Choy at Stella Blues

Enjoy the funky smooth jazz sounds of David Choy and Slam, every Wednesday from 9pm – 12am and Sundays from 5pm – 8pm at Stella Blues in Kihei Maui. NO COVER!!

Stella Blues Cafe’ is located at 1279 South Kihei Road in Azeka’s II Shopping Center.

“SLAM” is a 6 piece smooth / funk/ jazz / R&B band featuring one of Hawaii’s top sax players David Choy. David has recorded and performed with The Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald, James Ingram, Patti Austin and many of Hawaii’s top musical artists.

“SLAM” also features Mike Kennedy on drums, George Tavoularis on keyboards, Alan Villaren on guitar and vocals and Jay Molina on bass and vocals. “SLAM” also features vocalist Clay Mortensen.

The band performs original music from David’s CD ” Colors of the Heart” and music from some of todays top smooth funk jazz artists like David Sanborn and Lee Ritenour.
