Here is a sneak screening of our HawaiiONTV News Documentary segment on the 14th Annual Ukulele Keiki Contest from the Hula Grill in Kaʻanapali, Maui.

Ukulele players and Hawaiian music fanatics were invited to join and participate during the Hula Grill Kaanapali’s 14th annual Youth Ukulele Players Contest. The contest featured several of the best amateur ukulele players competing for both the prizes and recognition!

The contest included keiki from kindergarten through 12th grade, separated into two divisions: the solo and the group.

The judges of the competition will be famous Grammy & Na Hoku Hanohano winners, like Peter DeAquino, Derrick Sebastian, George Kahumoku Jr., Kimo Hussey and Garrett Probst.
