This FREE event gave the community a chance to meet local coffee growers and roasters and learn everything about growing, harvesting, processing, roasting and brewing coffee. Visitors enjoyed Coffee Brewing Demos, Live Performances by Award Winning Musicians, guest speakers, a silent auction, Free Drawings for ono prizes, a Coffee Recipe Contest, Coffee Granitas, Free Coffee Samples, and more!!

Village Cafe and Sweet Shoppe has recently introduced the Encore Wine Series, a monthly wine tasting event that is a collaboration with JMD Beverages and Maui Prime Fine Foods, featuring a winemaker or growing region. The first Encore event was on Wednesday, May 11 featuring the wines of Signorello Estate of Napa Valley. Ray Signorello, Jr, was on hand to describe the wines and share his perspectives on the process of growing the grapes and making the wines.

This collaboration is truly unique because you can continue the enjoy a few of the wines during the month as featured wine flights at the Village Cafe and Sweet Shoppe or you can purchase the wines for your enjoyment at home from Maui Prime fine foods. This ongoing series is sure to be something that you won’t want to miss!

Village Cafe and Sweet Shoppe has beautiful views of the golf course, with the ocean in the distance. This is the former location of Vinos and Kapalua Cafe, in what is now called the Village Center at Kapalua Resort. The building also contains the Kapalua Logo Shop, Kapalua Adventures, and Kapalua Villas Reception.

Breakfast is available all day, with omelets, bagels & lox, and more. Also available all day are several appetizers and salads, a wide variety of burgers, and some sandwiches and wraps. Six entree choices are served at lunch and dinner. Besides the five desserts on the menu, there is an adjacent Sweet Shop with many more choices.

Stuart Katz is the owner of Village Cafe and Sweet Shop, and Romi is the manager. If either of them are in when you visit, they enjoy meeting the customers, so be sure to say Hi.
