Hula Grill Kaanapali – 21st Annual Keiki Ukulele Contest

 

The 2017 Hula Grill Keiki Ukulele Contest was held on Saturday Oct.21, 2017, with prizes and entertainment provided by KoAloha Ukulele.

Youth ‘ukulele players from kindergarten through high school were invited to participate in the 21st year of the Hula Grill Ukulele Contest (previously the Maui Youth Ukulele Players Contest). The contest gave Hawaii’s keiki the chance to perform on stage in front of a live audience. The contest kicked included a complimentary ukulele workshop presented by KoAloha Ukulele and was a great way to get the participants warmed up and playing together. Keiki were able to compete in the solo division, group division, or both with first, second and third place winners announced for all four categories.

This annual contest is sponsored by Hula Grill & KoAloha and every contestant has the chance to win a brand new ukulele. For those who didn’t go home with the ultimate prize, there were plenty of other great prizes including a special complimentary breakfast and lunch provided by Hula Grill!

Maui Coffee Association presented the 8th Annual “Seed To Cup” Coffee Fest at the Maui Tropical Planatation, Saturday August 15, 2015. This FREE event gave the community a chance to meet local coffee growers and roasters and learn everything about growing, harvesting, processing, roasting and brewing coffee. Visitors enjoyed Coffee Brewing Demos, Live Performances by Award Winning Musicians, guest speakers, a silent auction, Free Drawings for ono prizes, a Coffee Recipe Contest, Coffee Granitas, Free Coffee Samples, and more!!
